Sound Reception System
The new S2100 Sound Reception System is made in accordance with IMO regulations for operation within a totally enclosed bridge.
The system is designed to indicate both the direction, and the relative distance to the sound source.
The S2100 system features a range of new and innovative functions, and can be configured with additional slave units and external loudspeakers. In addition the S2100 interfaces with the VDR and own foghorns.
Operation of the main unit is easy, thanks to the one-touch light, volume, and squelch adjustment.
The S2100 has one microphone unit, which is especially designed to reduce noise generated by the wind and the ship’s movement.
The advanced digital signal processing ensures fast and reliable information. Other advanced functions have been added such as an adaptive squelch function, which separates background noise from foghorn signals, and an automatic calibration of the microphones.
